ARPANSA conduct their tests by shining light through the weakest parts of individual style to ensure that every inch of your hat is fully protective. Darker coloured materials rate even higher than UPF50+ due to their high dye absorption, but even our lightest styles achieve a UPF50+ rating.

Our woven styles also offer you UPF50+ maximum sun protection. While a common crochet'd hat doesn't offer more than a little bit of shade, we've cleverly woven our raffia braided material to stop the sun in its tracks.
